Job Summary:  We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and dedicated Senior Nurse to manage our school Health Centre, working as an integral part of the nurses team. 

The Senior Nurse will work as part of our multi-professional team to facilitate positive student development, promoting a holistic approach to the physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people from age 3 to 18+ years.  They will also be the point of contact to support staff wellbeing throughout the School. 

Our Health Centre provides a high standard of clinical and pastoral care to our students within our Junior School, Senior School and Boarding community. There are usually two nurses on duty working between 8am and 6pm.

Suitable applicants will be a registered nurse. Annual NMC subscription and RCN membership will be provided for the successful candidate. 

About You: We are looking for an excellent team player and communicator who has the confidence to lead a strong health team, to show initiative and respond appropriately to a whole range of health, safeguarding and pastoral issues.  You must have a passion for working with young people and the ability to support them, showing care and attention, providing a listening ear and the ability to act accordingly in a variety of sensitive circumstances.  You need to be an emotionally resilient person with a good understanding of the role and responsibility around safeguarding.
