Sidcot students have just been presented with their certificates for another fantastic set of results in the Senior Maths Challenge.
In the first round, we had a great haul of 13 certificates and 5 students qualify for follow-on rounds due to scores in the top 10% of the country.
Will Lewin, Kevin Zheng, Rufus Long and Matthew French qualified for the Kangaroo round. Rufus and Matthew did well in this round, scoring 20, and have received a Certificate of Qualification. Kevin's score of 45 puts him it in the top 2,500 nationally and he receives a Certificate of Merit. Will's score of 60 was the highest we've seen in this round, easily placing him in the top 2,000 nationally. He also receives a Certificate of Merit.
Lifeng Qian qualified for the British Mathematical Olympiad, a competition just for the top 1,000 students in the country. His score of 15 included one perfect solution and is around the top 750 nationally.
A superb set of results, and with the Intermediate Maths challege on the 6th February we're looking forward to more celebration to come!
