PASS

The Programme of Activities for Sidcot Students (PASS) has been designed to provide all students throughout the school with an exciting opportunity to live adventurously, to live out the school’s core values, to play an active part in being an Ashoka Changemaker school, to develop leadership skills and to further enhance their ability to be excellent team players. The programme  has been designed to be fun and active which will help boost the health and wellbeing of our students. It will enable them to be happy, positive individuals and equip them with the skills and attitude to be able to thrive at school and enjoy their learning experience. 

The students have the opportunity to opt into a range of activities on Thursday afternoons throughout the school year alongside their peers across the whole school.  The vertical nature of this programme (Third Form to Sixth Form) promotes the Sidcot community spirit throughout, allowing them to live, learn and grow alongside one another in a supportive environment.  

Students choose the activities that they would like to do every half term and are strongly encouraged to choose a range of activities to challenge themselves and their thinking.  They will be encouraged to try something new or to develop and build on skills they already have. The programme will enable them to grow in confidence, build resilience, make new friendships and have fun. Some activities will enable students to gain a greater understanding of the world we live in, the need for change and how they can play a part in that change. They will grow a love for the outdoors and for the simple things in life.
