Specialist Subjects

  • Languages: From a young age, children are introduced to the wonders of language with specialist teachers who make learning fun and interactive. Pupils learn French, German, Spanish, and even Chinese in weekly lessons, with further languages explored regularly throughout the year with the assistance of our international students.
  • Art: At Sidcot, we have specialist teachers in art, drama, and music. Our specialist art teachers nurture creativity and self-expression, allowing children to explore different media, techniques, and ideas, in a supportive environment. Passion and confidence are encouraged, with artwork often exhibited for the Whole School to enjoy.
  • Drama: Through drama lessons at Sidcot, children develop communication skills, teamwork, and a sense of self, as they explore the world of storytelling and performance.
  • Music: Specialist music teachers work within the classroom, and on a one-to-one basis with pupils, helping them to learn about and appreciate music, and develop their talents, whether that be in classical piano or rock guitar! Through concerts and plays throughout the year, pupils are then able to share their progress and love of music.
  • Sport: Our passionate sports instructors promote a healthy lifestyle and develop teamwork skills through a variety of fun and engaging activities. We have excellent sports facilities at Sidcot, and we make good use of them. Our focus is on the enjoyment of physical activity, not just the competitive element, and we encourage our pupils to achieve personal goals and strive to do their very best!
