From The Art Department: Upper Fourth visit The New Arts Centre
Week Ending Friday 10th November
On Monday, U4 students were lucky to have a beautiful crisp day for their visit to The New Arts Centre, sculpture park in Wiltshire. Students were led on a tour of the extensive site where they spent time looking at and discussing the sculptures. Students were challenged to think about the Artists intentions, the materials used and the meaning they found within the work. The gallery staff were impressed with the ideas that students shared in group discussion. Students made notes and drawings in their sketchbooks which will be used back in school in the development of students personal projects.
