Author Visit – Lydia Syson

Author Visit – Lydia Syson

To celebrate World Book Day, on Monday 27 February we welcomed Dr Lydia Syson. Lydia worked with Third Form, Upper Fourth and Lower Fifth students in a range of author talks and creative writing workshops across the day. The groups looked at using historical documents as a starting point for creative writing. Lydia has written three historical novels for young people. Her work looks at the devastating effects of war, with each of her novels focussing on a different conflict. Copies of her books were eagerly snapped up by students at the end of each session, and her novels are also available to borrow from the library.
