Billiard balls and plum puddings
Students were asked what do you think links a billiard ball and a plum pudding?
The answer is that they were both used as a model for the structure of an atom.
The Upper Fourth then set about making their own models of the atomic structure and learning about the practicals that provided evidence for the models. Below are some of the impressive models.
