Upper Fifth student Will Temple recently saw the burnt wreck of a car on the A370 near the roundabout by Morrison's, Weston-super-Mare, and took several photos. He's a car enthusiast and recognised it as a Lamborghini Countach, worth about £400,000 and thought it might be newsworthy.
Will called the INS news agency, they asked for the photos and they were subsequently bought by the Sunday Telegraph, The Telegraph, The Daily Mail and The Mirror. Will has since been paid for his efforts.
One photo was published in large format on page 8 of the Sunday Telegraph and they have since been published online by the other national dailies and are still on their websites.
Will has just completed his GCSEs, including Photography. He recently won an Art Scholarship to study at Sidcot Sixth Form next year and is intending to do Photography at A Level.
He has had news photographs published in the past by the Weston, Worle and Somerset Mercury, The Daily Mail, The Mirror, The Telegraph online and recently a large quarter-page picture in The Sunday Telegraph.
With enormous and generous encouragement' from the film producer Tim Bevan, he was very fortunate to be offered work experience at Working Title Films in London last year, so it is very possible that he will pursue his passion in that direction.
