David Maclay Art Exhibition
The exhibition of photographs and conceptual art currently on display in Sidcot Arts Centre is the work of local artist David Maclay.
David has been creating work all his life, and this exhibition represents a very wide time span, from photographs that he took while living in California many years ago, to very recent work, such as a conceptual piece that references the Grenfell Tower disaster. David's photographs are minimalist and semi abstract, concerned with colour, form, texture and other 'painterly' considerations as much with narrative.
The exhibition will be on display until after half term, and will be open to the public on Thursday's, Friday's and Saturday mornings.
David is also proprietor of the micro cinema in Axbridge, The Roxy, which is very well worth a visit!
