Flamenco Dancing

Flamenco Dancing

Ole Ole Ole! We were thrilled to welcome Amanda Frescura and her Flamenco musicians to put on a performance and a Flamenco workshop for our Spanish students this Wednesday.

Our J5, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Form hispanists all threw themselves into it and learnt some of the steps. They also learnt a great deal about the history, culture and origins of this particular dance which is so symbolic to Spain.

In the afternoon, 16 of our Sixth Form linguists studying the IB Language B and A Level in French, German and Spanish attended a number of language lectures at Bristol University. They were engaging, authentic and hugely relevant, if not a little challenging for our U6 students. A valuable insight into University life and a great opportunity to meet other Sixth Form linguists in the Bristol area.
