Good results from the Sidcot fencers
Fencers from Churchill Fencing Club, including Sidcot's own Betsy Mak (L5) and Sarah Carr (U4), fenced in the ladies Under 16 Sabre event against some tough opposition from Truro.
Betsy fenced with determination and skill to come third. And Sarah Carr (U4) Sidcot school fenced in the ladies Under 14 Epee. Doing well in the pool to become fifth seed, Sarah won her first D.E and just lost her second by a couple of points. But, overall, she still achieved fifth place which qualified her along with Betsy to fence in the British Youth Championships in Sheffield this April.
