A Great Sporting Week!
Week Ending Friday 11th May
This week must surely count as a great sporting week!
Over a hundred students have represented the School. There has been a cricket match, four rounders matches and vast numbers competing at the English Schools Athletics Championships.
Fantastic!
Next week will see more of the same!
Girls' Rounders v Priory School, Wednesday 9th May
U12s: Lost 5.5 - 3 / Won 7 - 4.5
U13s: Lost 11 - 15.5
U14s: Lost 7 - 11
U15s: Lost 4.5 - 18.5
This was another super evening of rounders down on our fields – though this week against much tougher opposition.
The Under 12s played two games and both were fiercely contested and quite tight. A narrow loss and then a win – super.
The Under 13s also put in a good performance and fought hard to achieve a close result, and scored a pleasing number of rounders
Our Under 14 girls, although playing well, were a little out-gunned with the Priory girls batting particularly strongly and fielding tightly. Always up for a competition, our team worked hard until the end.
Our Under 15s really found themselves up against it! Priory proved really strong at this age group and despite best efforts the team went down quite heavily.
A very enjoyable evening of rounders, played in good competitive spirit.
Well done to all.

English Schools Athletics Championships, Thursday 10th May at Yate Stadium
We had a great day out at these Championships – with over 50 students competing across a range of year groups. There were some fabulous and gutsy performances, great team spirit and highly pleasing sporting behaviour.
Well done to all.
Results and a more detailed report will be published next week.
