Italian Evening in Bristol

A group of students went to Bristol to enjoy a typical Italian evening out. Italian native speakers have been supporting Italian ab initio students in a buddy programme, sharing with them their culture and helping them practise the language.
In this trip they experienced the traditional custom of “la pizzata di fine anno” (the end of year pizzata) to celebrate the end of the exams for some Italian students who will be leaving Sidcot after their A Levels and GCSEs. Students were engaged in conversations in Italian for the whole evening and were able to order their pizza in Italian and interact with native speaker members of staff.
The Italian music in the background and the tasty pizzas cooked in proper Italian style made this evening a great success for the students who enjoyed the experience.
