Lower Fourth History Visit To Montacute House, Somerset

Lower Fourth History Visit To Montacute House, Somerset

This visit was to support their learning about Tudor Society and to look at the Tudor portraits on loan from the National Portrait gallery. We set off on a very wet morning but were greeted with glorious sunshine on our arrival. Students were treated to a tour of the National Trust house and a workshop focusing on either symbolism in portraits or textiles and fabrics. Students also took some time to sketch the outside of this stunning house and tour the Tudor gardens. Thank you to all the staff who came.
