Upper Fifth student Nyree Perry recently competed in the Regional South West Championships in Cardiff. She took 1st place, with a height of 3.25m. Nyree retains her title again this year as South West Champion 2020!
Nyree has also been selected for the National Development Programme, which feeds into the Commonwealth Potential and Welsh Futures as they look to build towards 2022 Commonwealth Games and 2026. She will now be competing in the British Championships in Sheffield in February.
Alongside her pole vaulting endeavors Nyree has also completed her Core Proficiency Gymnastics course and is now qualified to teach gymnastics to 5-11-year-olds. She is currently coaching one night a week at Gemini Gym and has already been given a mini squad to train up ages 6-9 years and is thoroughly enjoying it!
