Product Design students visit to Avalon Plastics

Product Design Students' Visit to Avalon Plastics

The Sixth Form Product Design students travelled to Avalon Plastics in Glastonbury, to visit their purpose built plastics factory and headquarters.

In class, students have learnt about plastic forming processes but being able to visit a factory and see the processes taking place has taken their understanding to the next level.

Company Director, Keith Butler and his team showed our students examples of their products and how they manage aspects of the business; from customer orders to procurement of raw materials.

Our comprehensive tour of the factory floor was invaluable and students were able to ask plenty of questions and see all aspects of the manufacturing process.

We are very grateful to Avalon Plastics for taking the time to share so much information with our students.
