Sidcot Chess Club
We are very proud of our weekly chess club, which has been running for the past two terms. Many young students are very enthusiastic about learning and playing chess. Of those students, I would like to mention Iben Hullah (Third Form) who achieved the fifth place in south west England region. If you would like to test your chess skills and challenge Iban to a game she would be happy to take you on – she is always looking for different opponents.
We encourage older chess players from other year groups (especially Upper Fifth onwards) to join us so that we can run a tournament, or form a chess team for some regional competitions as soon as possible.
