Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter

Third Form students got the amazing chance to go to the Harry Potter studios. It was a three- hour drive, however, on the way there and back the students were allowed to get out of the coach at the service station to stretch their legs, as well as being given the opportunity to buy sweets!

When we arrived at the studios we saw the Goblet Of Fire and enjoyed the amazing special effect of the real Great Hall and understood how it worked. After, we were allowed to roam around the first part of the tour, which included getting to ride on brooms and learning how brooms appeared to fly. Also we enjoyed how Wailing Woods worked and how its special effects throughout the film had been created. In the second part of the trip we were able to see the real Hogwarts train and ride on it, and we even had the opportunity to buy the sweets that were featured in the film. In the third part, we were able to taste and buy butter beer. We were also able to have a look around Harry Potter’s house and the bridge to Hogwarts, as well as the bus which takes you anywhere except underwater. In the fourth and final part of studio tour we discovered that almost all the animals and creatures in the films were animatronic. We also found out how they worked and we got to see a complete model of Hogwarts and its surroundings. Last but not least, we were free to roam around the big gift shop at the end and buy things. It was a great day.

Thank you to Mr Williams for organising it and Mr Church, Mr Pemberton, Mr Resuggan and Miss Reebye.
