Sidcot 44-38 Vixen Rebels
The first win of the season for the first team was enjoyed by all. It was neck and neck through the first three quarters. 11-11 after the first, 23-23 after the second then we edged ahead 31-30 after the third quarter. The team went into the final quarter with anticipation but remained calm and concentrated on extending the lead. Ella Kippax (GA) and Freya King (C) put in another hard shift on the court, whilst Ruby Cogan had a super defensive spell at GK during the final quarter. All the new players to the team looked far more at home in the match this week, starting to make an impact and gain in confidence. Evie Puddy (WA) was awarded player of the match by the opposition for the second week running. This was due to her prolific work rate and the speed at which she served the shooting circle. Well done girls!
