Another good performance from this squad who are beginning to use space and width more effectively and to understand that the route to keeping possession is not always to shunt the ball forwards. Some good work in the midfield by Emily, Cerys and Ellen to distribute wide ball and some sensible movement and communication from out wide.
This was a well-deserved result – the score could have been somewhat higher!

Well done to the Sidcot Lower Fifth netball team who played very well indeed against a strong Backwell side. There were some outstanding interceptions from the defenders in the circle and there was some excellent passing play.

U13 Girls Hockey vs Backwell School
Wednesday 4th March 2020 @ Sidcot Astroturf
A thoroughly unpleasant afternoon of weather was brought nicely to life with the Year 8 girls playing so well against Backwell School. There were some amazing individual performances, Phoebe Wring, Bea Russe and Emma Peon to name only a few. The win was secured with some outstanding team work. Backwell had one good ball player, whose stick control was excellent but was no match for the crispness of our passes and the commitment of our defence.
A real quality performance that deserved the win to brighten up everyone's day.
