22 July to 2 August
Two Sidcotians, TomTom Lloyd and Emily Mabbett, made their way across the pond to join 45,000 others at the largest outdoor youth event, the World Scout Jamboree. Young people from more than 150 countries shared their culture and lived the adventure of a lifetime. On a natural reserve in West Virginia, USA, and stretching over 4,000 hectares, this is one of the most sustainable campsites in the world.
The Jamboree is a showcase of internationalism and fits very well alongside Sidcot's values. This was a great opportunity for TomTom and Emily to share stories with fellow scouts and, most of all, live adventurously!
