Curious to know more about the IB?
A talk with Q&A session Tuesday 7 June 2016 5pm to 6.30pm in the Drama Studio followed by drinks in the Old Library with A. C. Grayling.
As you are probably aware, at Sidcot we offer our Sixth Form students the choice of studying for either A Levels or the International Baccalaureate.
The Baccalaureate is a programme with an emphasis on breadth of study and personal development. As such, it sits very well with the Quaker values that guide our approach to education at Sidcot. We have offered the IB diploma at Sidcot for many years with consistently good results and our teachers are very experienced.
We realise that making the choice can be confusing so we are inviting all Senior School parents and students to come and discover more about the IB and why we are so committed to offering the programme. We will hear from Alison Bell our Director of IB and Academic Enrichment, IB students, past and present who will share their experiences of studying the IB at Sidcot.

- How does it differ from A Levels?
- Is it a lot of a lot of extra work?

We are also delighted to welcome Professor A. C. Grayling the eminent British philosopher and founder of the New College of the Humanities, an independent undergraduate college in London. He will be giving a presentation exploring ‘What is knowledge?’
