DofE Training in the Mendips
Last Sunday Lower Sixth students working towards the Silver and Gold awards enjoyed a day of training in the Mendips close to the school. They started with classroom sessions covering first aid and navigation before being taken to drop off points around Cheddar Gorge from where they navigated back to the School over the hills. Everyone arrived before dark and coped well with a cold day.
This year all of the Pathway students are doing the Bronze award and they have started expedition training in preparation for the first expedition which will be on the weekend 22/23 April.
