Duke of Edinburgh Award: Black Mountains, Wales
Last weekend saw our third expedition of the half term with Year 11 crossing over into Wales for Silver expeditions in the Black Mountains. The weather was kind to us again with some sun and no rain. The main hazard was the shortening of the days which meant that it was getting dark by 7pm and on both evenings a group finished walking in fading light.
The expedition season has now finished for 2015 and we are enrolling students who would like to do the Bronze (Lower Fifth) or Silver award (Upper Fifth and Sixth Form).
