Gloucester Epee and Sabre County Championships at Wycliffe College, Sunday 15 January
Three students from Sidcot School entered the Gloucester Epee and Sabre County Championships last weekend, in association with Gloucestershire Amateur Fencing Union (GAFU).
They were up against some tough opposition with a lot more experience. But all three fenced with determination and skill coming away with medals.
Betsy Mak (15) winning Girls U16 Sabre and 3rd place in Womens senior Sabre. Tom Bradley (18) 2nd place in Mens U20 Epee and Hamish Lam (16) 3rd place in U20 Epee.
All three students Fence at Sidcot and also Churchill Fencing Club, all three will be competing in the south west qualifiers in Millfield this weekend and the following for a chance of fencing in Sheffield for the British Youth Championships in April.
