Earlier this term, all Third Form students chose a free book through the Literary Trust’s Bookbuzz scheme. Students received their book choice at the end of this week. We plan to extend this offer to Lower Fourth students before half term.
We were delighted to welcome Matt Dickinson to Sidcot last week. Matt spoke to students about his adventures on Everest and his books The Everest Files and the Mortal Chaos series. Students in the Third Form and Upper Fourth were inspired by his talk and bought books for Matt to sign.
Our next literary event will be Philip Reeve on 5 November when he will be talking about his latest book Rail Head to students in the Fourth Form.
