Sidcot Flying School - December 2016 Update

Sidcot Flying School

On Sunday 27 November Lucas Chiu and John Alvis became the first two members of the Sidcot Flying School and flew an aircraft over Bristol, Weston-super-Mare and Sidcot School itself.

In liaison with the Bristol & Wessex Flying Club, I am happy to offer students the chance to fly an aircraft for £99.00 (plus travel to and from Bristol Airport from Sidcot). The students will perform pre-flight checks, speak to the control tower, take the aircraft into the air and fly a circular route lasting 30 to 40 minutes.

It is hoped that in the Summer Term, students will have the opportunity to fly for 15 hours and learn how to fly solo (more information in the Spring Term).

Sidot Flying School is open to students in the current U4 to U6 only. A letter is available on Firefly or students can see Mr Curtis-Dyke. Students must have their application slips returned to Mr Curtis-Dyke by Thursday 15 December.
