The inaugural running of ‘Sidcot’s Got Talent’ took place on Wednesday 11 December and proved to be an extremely successful inter-house competition. Not only was there an impressive amount of talent on show, but also a huge amount of house spirit supporting all the competitors
The event was hosted by House Captains Tom Melvin & Mima Beauchamp. Students from each of the four houses competed in a musical extravaganza! The whole school, sat in their house teams, supported and cheered on their competitors with great enthusiasm and excitement.
The panel of judges were Iain Kilpatrick, Elizabeth Burgess, Russell Spooner and Governor Duncan Pittaway.
All competitors, ranging from Clara Mann in Year 8 to Lex & Ora in Year 11/13, performed superbly. The acts were supported by the school rock band who got us all ‘rocking around the Christmas tree’! After the eight performances, battle commenced in a ‘sing-off’ between the houses, singing ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ - what a festive raucous!
We are delighted to announce that the winner was Polina Naumova (Year 12) from West House. Congratulations to everyone who took part!
