Its always nice to play Clifton High. Our old rivals but always a good match with lovely young people. As it turned out, it was a brilliant match with end-to-end play from both teams at Coombe Dingle. The first half set the tempo with chances for both teams and Fletcher Hann, and Jack Ward making incisive runs and getting very close on at least three occasions. At the other end Ethan Linnitt and Oli Thislewood being an impenetrable wall. At one point Alex Milne in goal made a world class save to help keep the score 0-0.
The second half was more of the same and it was great to see Zak Lloyd and Ben Grice-Roberts rise in confidence and playing well for the team. It was a goal line scramble that led to Clifton's goal with one minute to go which disappointed us greatly as we have all of the play in the second half. Still we are in great spirits at the end as we all knew how well we played.
