Sidcot are pleased to announce the introduction of a new Triathlon Academy for children aged 8 to 14 years old
What is Triathlon? Triathlon is regarded as one of the toughest and fastest growing sports in the country. It involves a combination of swimming, cycling and running of varying distances depending on your age. There is an important 4th discipline called ‘Transitions’ which is what happens between the swim and bike section and again between the bike and run section. Taking part in a Triathlon can be the hardest, but one of the most rewarding experiences you can do.
The sessions will focus on speed, endurance and the technical skills required across all 3 disciplines, plus the all-important skill of the transitions. The run and cycle sessions will be held on the grounds of Sidcot playing field while the swimming will take place in our very own 4-lane, 25m pool.
Sidcot Triathlon Academy is led by our experienced Triathlete and coach Nick Faubel.
